Jeanette Franzel is a board member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), a watchdog organization and nonprofit panel created by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and overseen by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). She replaces Daniel Goelzer, a PCAOB founding member and former interim chairman.[1]
Background
Franzel was a managing director of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) for more than 20 years. She joined the five-member PCAOB board in early February 2012.[2]
