Edward J. Resch is the former executive vice president and CFO of State Street Corporation.[1][2] He retired from the company in 2013. His intention to retire was announced in November of 2012, only months after a report said that the custody bank's largest investors wanted to oust Resch or the company's chief executive Jay Hooley.[3]

Resch also served as a member of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation.[4]

Background

Before joining State Street in 2002, Resch was chief financial officer of Pershing, a Credit Suisse First Boston subsidiary. Previous to that, he was managing director and chief accounting officer of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc., and chief financial and administrative officer of that firm's capital markets group. He also served as controller of Salomon Brothers in New York and worked for Price Waterhouse and Procter & Gamble.

Education

Resch holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Rutgers University.
