Eric T. Paulsen is the co-founder and president of the Houston Mercantile Exchange, an over-the-counter (OTC) electronic transaction exchange for downstream and midstream energy products and industrial raw materials.[1][2][3]
Background
Previously to co-founding Houston Mercantile Exchange, he was vice president of ChemConnect. As the vice president of the commodity exchange for ChemConnect, Inc., he helped develop and grow the commodity exchange business including the acquisitions of Chematch and Chalkboard.
Additionally, Paulsen previously was a principal at Plassein Partners and was director of petrochemical risk management at Enron Capital & Trade.

Paulsen holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
