James F. Lubin
James F. Lubin is CEO of Beacon Hill Private Wealth Management, an investment firm for individuals and institutions.
Lubin is a financial services executive that has worked in the financial services space since 1980. Before joining CFE in 2011, he was engaged as a business development consultant with the exchange. In that capacity, he developed new business relationships with hedge fund and commodity trading advisors which have contributed to an increase in futures transactional volume at the exchange. He has educated and collaborated with investment managers on strategic trading opportunities involving CBOE futures products and worked on the development of new products for the CFE.
Lubin was previously employed by Hyman Beck & Co., a U.S. based alternative investment firm, where he served as director of business development, chief operating officer and principal from 2003 to 2010. He was responsible for product development, strategic planning, investment strategy and business development.
Before joining Hyman Beck in 2003, Lubin was a senior vice president within the Fixed Income Division of Lehman Brothers from May 1999, where he was responsible for establishing the foreign exchange business with Alternative Investment Managers. From March 1980 to January 1999, Lubin held positions of increasing responsibility with Merrill Lynch. During his tenure with Merrill Lynch, Lubin was employed in the futures, foreign exchange and alternative investment divisions.
