Jean Cawley is executive vice president, senior adviser to the executive chairman and CEO at OCC. OCC is the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization and the foundation for secure markets. In this role, she is responsible for maintaining OCC's governance principles and framework as well as advising directors on their duties to ensure compliance with OCC by-laws.
Cawley joined OCC as staff counsel in November, 1989, and has served in several positions since then, most recently as senior vice president, senior adviser to the executive chairman and CEO. From 1985 to 1989, she worked for the Midwest Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), last serving as a chief in the branch of enforcement.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in 1982 and her law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1985.
