John Nixon is group executive director, Americas at ICAP. He was appointed chairman, CEO and president of ICAP SEF in September 2013.[1]


Before taking the role at ICAP SEF, Nixon served as chief executive officer of ICAP Electronic Broking.[2][3][4]

With more than 30 years experience in the interdealer broking business, Nixon is responsible for strategic acquisitions as well as ICAP’s information business. Prior to his full-time involvement with ICAP, he was a non-executive director of ICAP plc from 1998 to 2002.

He was previously CEO of Tullett and Tokyo Forex, now part of Tullett Prebon, where he worked from 1978 to 1997 in Toronto, London and New York.


He holds a degree in Commerce from Queens University, Ontario.[5]
