Jump Capital is a venture capital and private equity firm that provides capital to data-driven tech companies, including within the fintech, IT and data Infrastructure. The company says they back entrepreneurs seeking business partners, not just investors. The company also partners with management teams that have an identified opportunity to accelerate growth through acquisition or organic expansion.[1]

Jump Capital is a division of Jump Trading, Jump Trading is registered broker-dealer, and a member of numerous exchanges including CME Group and the New York Stock Exchange. Jump Capital Managing Partner Sach Chitnis told Crain's Chicago Business that the firm was formed in 2012 partly because its owners saw a “dramatic imbalance” between the amount of money available for entrepreneurs and the explosion of innovation happening in Chicago and across the Midwest.[2]
