Mark Beeston is founder and CEO of Illuminate Financial, a London-based investor and advisor to emerging financial technology firms.[1] He founded the firm upon leaving inter-dealer broker ICAP, where he spent four years as head of post-trade risk and information.[2]

In May 2014 he was named chairman of the board of directors of Duco, a trade-matching and reconciliation engine for large financial institutions.[3]


Before joining ICAP, Beeston spent four years as president of T-Zero, a subsidiary of Creditex Group Inc., which was acquired by Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. in 2008 and re-branded as ICE Link.[4][5]

Beeston started his carrer at Deutsche Bank, where he spent 13 years, first as a trader, then as chief operating officer for OTC derivatives (2001-2002) and global credit trading (2002-2005).[6]


Beeston received an honors degree in Economics from The London School of Economics in 1992.[7]
