Mark W. Fischer was a financial industry professional who specialized in technology and intellectual property. He passed away in August of 2012.

Fischer was employed as the vice president of product management for independent software vendor CQG at the time of his death.[1] He had joined CQG in September 2008, taking the vice president post three years later.

Background

Fischer was previously a consultant and business manager for R2 Consulting. He worked for law firm Faegre & Benson LLP as an intellectual property litigation attorney from 2001 to 2007. He also worked in intellectual property litigation for Chrisman Bynum & Johnson PC for nearly 10 years. Fischer was a managing partner there.

He joined CQG in 2008 as the director of marketing. After two years, Fischer became director for the Asia Pacific region, later taking over the special projects division where he studied product usage and pricing. In September 2011, Fischer was appointed as vice president of product management.[2]
