Mike Wilkins is a Business Development Manager for Fidessa Group Plc; a provider of trading, investment and information solutions for the global financial community. Currently based in London, Wilkins is responsible for growing Fidessa's presence in the derivatives space, with a keen focus on managed funds and commodities. Prior to his current role, Wilkins worked in Fidessa's Trader Support group, where he trained and supported Fidessa's user base in Chicago and New York. 
Before joining Fidessa, Wilkins was the pre-sales executive for North America at SunGard Global Trading.  He was responsible for the technical aspects of the sales process for the group's product suite including proposal writing, presentations and product demonstrations.
Wilkins is also an active trader in equity index and Treasury futures. He has been quoted in publications including Crain's Chicago Business and Futures Magazine on a wide variety of topics ranging from the role of social media in financial markets to trends in commodity trading. Wilkins has also moderated and spoken on several panels at industry events.
Wilkins began his career as a clerk and then later a trader at the Chicago Board of Trade. He then moved into an electronic execution role at a Japanese bank where he was first exposed to trading technology.
Wilkins attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where he studied Economics and American literature.
