Troy had been a managing director at BGC Partners since 2008 when the company merged with eSpeed. Prior to the merger, Troy was the managing director, global head of sales for eSpeed, a position he held from 2004 to 2009. Troy joined eSpeed in October 1999 to run the sales operations for the Midwest and West coast regions. Within six months of his arrival, he was able to transfer all Cantor’s voice trading clients to becoming fully electronic on the eSpeed platform. Troy started his career with the Cantor Fitzgerald BGC Family in January 1987 brokering US Cash Treasuries.
Troy serves as Corporate Chair of Friends for the Cure, American Diabetes Association.
