His focus is on providing services to broker-dealers, futures commission merchants, investment advisors, and various public and private alternative investment vehicles, including hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds, business development companies, and commodity pools.
Nockels' specialties include U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission rules and regulations applicable to broker-dealers and futures commission merchants, including net capital requirements and segregation and secured requirements.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Inc. stockbrokerage and investment banking expert panel and previously served as chairman of the Futures, Securities and Derivatives Special Interest Group of the Illinois CPA Society.
Nockels holds a bachelor of science in Accountancy from DePaul University.
