The Tianjin Emissions Exchange has touted itself as China's first national emission trading marketplace. It was uneviled to the public 50 days after the Beijing Environment Exchange and the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange were set up. The Chicago Climate Exchange provides technology and system support for the exchange.[1]

The exchange project was postponed over disagreements on allowing foreign investment.[2]
