Lamon Rutten is managing director and CEO of the Multi Commodity Exchange of India or MCX. Rutten was named to the position in June 2009, replacing Joseph Massey, who became the chief executive officer and managing director of the MCX Stock Exchange. Rutten had been working as the joint managing director.
Before joining MCX in 2006 as a director, he had worked for UNCTAD since 1990, where he served as chief of finance, risk management and information in the commodities branch of the UNCTAD in Geneva and worked on grain trade and collateralized grain finance in Mali.
He also was a member of the World Bank's International Task Force for Commodity Risk Management from January 2002 to April 2002.
Rutten holds a M.A. degree, with honors, in International Economic Management from Tilburg University, The Netherlands
