Levens brings more than 20 years experience in exchange-traded derivatives to his new position, having an extensive background in operations, sales and relationship management with some of the largest Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs) in the world. Before joining Velocity Futures, he was a senior vice president with Newedge USA in Chicago.

During his 10 years at Fortis, Levens led its Chicago operation from inception through acquisition of O’Connor & Co., tripling the firm’s Chicago market share. While CEO of Fortis Clearing Chicago, Levens built and developed strong relationships with the Chicago trading community and the leadership of the major U.S. futures exchanges. Prior to his transfer to Chicago, Levens ran commercial operations at Fortis Clearing London. Levens also worked for eight years at Kas Clearing London, first as operations manager and later as relationship manager.
