Ade Cordell is a London-based listed derivatives exchange executive who serves as the senior vice president and president of Cboe Netherlands.[1][2][3][4][5] Cordell was originally hired by Cboe as head of business development for Cboe Europe.[6]

Cordell will become president, Asia Pacific at Cboe Global Markets and will relocate to the region in the fourth quarter of 2022. He will oversee the business operations of Cboe Australia and Cboe Japan (formerly Chi-X Asia Pacific) and be responsible for the company's further expansion into the region. Cordell will continue to oversee Cboe's European Derivatives (CEDX) business for the remainder of 2022 to ensure a seamless transition to a successor.[7]

Background[edit]

Cordell joined Cboe Europe from Intercontinental Exchange where he served as global head of equity derivatives for ICE Futures Europe.

Before joining ICE in 2002, Cordell spent two years with Deutsche Bank as vice president, global equities e-commerce.

He has also worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson as a manager for global equities and at Credit Suisse First Boston as assistant vice president for new business.

He has worked in London, New York and Hong Kong during his career.

Cordell started his career in London with BZW (Barclays de Zoete Wedd) as a finance executive.

Education[edit]

Cordell holds a MSc in the field of international strategy and diplomacy fromThe London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He also holds a masters of business administration from the Cass Business School in the field of electronic business.
