Alan Grigoletto is vice president, education at the Options Industry Council (OIC). He was promoted to that position in December of 2012. In that role he oversees OIC’s educational outreach to retail investors, financial advisors and institutional investors. He will also build options-focused wealth advisor summits, expand OIC’s educational efforts to credit unions and CPAs, and assist in the development of European education programs. [1]

Grigoletto is also the chairman of the STA Derivatives Group at the Securities Traders Association.

He was previously director of education at OIC, beginning on June 21, 2011. He is based in Chicago.[2]

Before moving to OIC, he was senior vice president of business development and marketing for the Boston Options Exchange Group, LLC (BOX).[3][4][5][6]

He is also an OIC instructor, industry panelist and noted expert on market structure.[7] He is an active member of the Securities Traders Association and the Options Industry Council. In addition, he has served as a steering committee member for the Futures Industry Association, a guest speaker at the Securities Exchange Commission, and a panelist for a House of Representatives discussion on the topics of best execution and penny pricing in the derivatives markets.

Alan Grigoletto was recently promoted to vice president, education at the Options Industry Council (OIC), where he is responsible for expanding OIC’s educational efforts, including developing educational programs for the European markets. He was interviewed by Sarah Rudolph of John Lothian News about the challenges for market makers in the current atmosphere and OIC’s response to those issues, the growing use of options by pension funds and others, what’s ahead for options volume, and the OIC’s new seminars for 2013. Background[edit]

Grigoletto was with BOX beginning with its formation in 2002. He was head of all business development at the exchange, and was responsible for maintaining client relationships and making recommendations that enhanced business on BOX. He also acted as BOX's ambassador.

Before joining BOX, Grigoletto was a founding partner at the investment advisory firm of Chicago Analytic Capital Management. He has nearly 30 years of expertise in trading and investments as an options market maker, stock specialist, institutional trader and portfolio manager. Alan was formerly the portfolio manager for both the S&P 500 and MidCap 400 portfolios at Hull Transaction Services, a market-neutral arbitrage fund. He has considerable expertise in portfolio risk management as well as strong analytical skills in equity and equity-related (derivative) instruments.

Grigoletto received a degree in Finance from the University of Miami.
