Alan Sobba
Alan Sobba is President & CEO at Green & Grow Inc. Previously, he was the chief policy and communications officer for the International Derivatives Clearing Group.[1] Previously, Sobba was the director of the Office of External Affairs for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) from 2002 to 2007.[2]This office was established as part of a Commission-wide restructuring aimed at facilitating the implementation of the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000.[3] Background[edit]Before joining IDCG, Sobba operated Sobba Public LLC, a lobbying firm. One client of Sobba Public was the Futures Industry Association, which hired the firm to lobby the U.S. federal government on the reauthorization of the Commodity Exchange Act and other issues.[4] Prior to joining the CFTC, Sobba was the director of government relations and chief lobbyist for the Commissioner of Baseball, and before that he worked for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. Education[edit]Sobba received an undergraduate degree from Kansas State University, an MBA from Arizona State University, and a law degree from the University of Kansas law school.[5] References[edit]
