Alex McDonald
Alex McDonald is chief executive of the Wholesale Markets Brokers' Association.[1][2] He was appointed to the position in 2009. Background[edit]Prior to being named CEO of the WMBA in London, McDonald was CEO of the London Energy Brokers Association. He also spent over twenty years as a trader and portfolio manager, at BSAM Global Alpha Fund, OLEA Capital Partners and at BlueCrest Capital, where he focused on commodities, fixed income and currencies. Additionally, he was a director of emerging markets and foreign exchange trading at CSFB for eight years, and prior to that he was an executive director at Goldman Sachs on their fixed income proprietary trading desk. He began his career with JP Morgan in 1988 as a trader of fixed income arbitrage and FX.
