Alison J. Carnwath is a corporate finance and investment banking professional.
Previously, she served as chairman of the board of directors of MF Global immediately previous to Jon Corzine being hired as CEO and and taking the chairman title.[1] Carnwath is a senior adviser to Lexicon Partners, an independent corporate finance advisory firm, [2] and chairman of the management board and investment committees at ISIS Equity Partners, LLP, a private equity firm.[3] Carnwath also serves as a director of Land Securities Group PLC.[4]

Carnwath has spent more than 20 years in investment banking. Since 2001, she served as non-executive director of Man Group plc. From 2001 until 2007, she was chairman of Man Group plc's Audit and Risk committee. Previously she was chairman of The Vitec Group plc and was a managing director with Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette.

Carnwath received a B.A. in Economics and German from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom and is a chartered accountant.
