Andrej Bolkovic is the chief executive officer of OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization. He succeeded John Davidson, who retired from the position in the first half of 2023.

Bolkovic reports to the OCC board of directors and has oversight responsibility for OCC's information technology, financial risk management, corporate risk management, legal and compliance functions.[1]

Bolkovic joined OCC as CEO-elect on October 3, 2022 and worked with Davidson, the board of directors and management committee to facilitate a smooth transition of responsibilities. [2]

He is a former member of the OCC's board of directors and served on the technology and compensation and performance committees from 2017 to 2020.

Background[edit]

Bolkovic has over 25 years of experience in the global financial industry. From March of 2021, he was CEO of Akuna Capital LLC and its affiliated broker dealer, Akuna Securities, LLC. From 2016 to 2020, he was the CEO of ABN AMRO Clearing Chicago.

Bolkovic joined the parent bank of ABN AMRO Clearing Chicago, ABN AMRO Clearing Bank NV, in May 2007.[3] During his time with ABN AMRO Clearing Bank NV, he served several roles, including global COO, CIO and executive board member.

He also served on the supervisory boards of European Multilateral Clearing Facility and Holland Clearing House.

Bolkovic began his career in 1995 in the IT and Securities Division of ING Bank and later joined Capgemini Netherlands with responsibilities including consultancy and program management. [4]

Education[edit]

Bolkovic received a master's degree in English language and literature from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a post graduate degree in business administration from HES Amsterdam.
