Andy Coyne is the co-founder and CEO of Cobalt, a financial technology company focusing on the foreign exchange market.[1]

He is the former chief executive officer of Traiana. He left that position on February 11, 2015.[2]

As CEO at Traiana, he was responsible for their global business across asset classes including foreign exchange, exchange-traded derivatives, equities, equity derivatives, fixed income and interest rates.[3][4] Coyne replaced Traiana founder Gil Mandelzis in the position, and Mandelzis moved to the newly created position of executive chairman.

Prior to Citi, he was head of FX Prime Brokerage at Deutsche Bank from July 1999 to October 2005 and held numerous management positions at Bankers Trust, where he worked from 1988 to 1999. He has been a key leader in a number of industry initiatives and associations, serving on the board of currency settlement system CLS aggregation and on the board of FXAll before its initial public offering.

Education[edit]

Coyne received his BSc in Financial Economics from London University and an MBA from Cass Business School.[6]
