Ann M. Cresce is the general counsel and head of compliance for the Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange.[1][2] Cresce came to HKMerc from the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), where she served as senior vice president and general counsel.
Background[edit]
She also served as director of compliance and assistant general counsel for InterContinentalExchange (ICE) prior to joining the Chicago Climate Exchange CCX. Additionally, she served as corporate secretary/director of shareholder relations at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).
Cresce has also held senior positions with Carr Futures, Inc. and with the Chicago Board of Trade and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Prior to CCX, Cresce was director of compliance and assistant general counsel at Intercontinental Exchange, and was previously Corporate Secretary/Director, Shareholder Relations for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where she was part of the demutualization and IPO teams. Ms Cresce held senior management legal/regulatory positions with Carr Futures Inc. and with the Chicago Board of Trade and held a regulatory role at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Cresce holds a juris doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and is admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court and the State of Illinois Bar. She also holds a bachelor of science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
She serves on the advisory board of the Center for International Business Education and Research at the University of Illinois. Cresce was appointed to the Compliance Curriculum Advisory Board at Chicago-Kent. She was also selected to the DirectWomen Institute of 2011, an organization honoring women in corporate governance and board work.
