Benjamin R. Londergan is executive managing director and head of options trading and technology at ConvergEx.[1]
He was previously Co-CEO of Group One Trading and a member of the board of directors.
He previously served as and a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).[2][3]
Background[edit]
Before become CEO of Group One, Londergan was derivatives trading managing director and was directly responsible for opening and managing Group One Trading's first European trading operation, G1 Derivatives Trading LTD.
He was responsible for Group One’s restructuring plan in 2010, which led to the best consecutive four year period in the firm’s history. Londergan was also responsible for implementing an enterprise risk management process at Group One and spearheaded the design and implementation of its proprietary trading software.
Londergan began his career at Group One Trading, L.P. in 1998. [4]

Londergan graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University and holds a B.A. degree in Mathematics with minors in French and Economics. He received the Jack D. Tichenor Award for earning the highest GPA among all male varsity athletes.
