Brian Conlon, the founder and CEO of First Derivatives, worked in the capital markets starting in 1990. Before launching First Derivatives in 1996, Conlon trained at KPMG and then joined the risk management team at Morgan Stanley in London. He also worked at SunGard interacting with over 60 global financial institutions. [1]
Conlon died on July 28, 2019.[2]

Conlon started his career in finance at KPMG.
He was a talented Gaelic football player who played for the County Down senior team before sustaining a knee injury that ended his football career.[3]
