Brian Price
Brian Price is the executive chairman of the Financial & Energy Exchange. Price, born in Canada, is a veteran of the derivatives market. Background[edit]Price started working on the SFE's trading room floor for Trans City Holdings in 1984. In 1989, Price left the floor to establish Standard Options, effectively a hedge fund that would later become Iron Mountain. In Australia he was actively involved in the very early development of the financial derivative markets in his capacity as manager of Interest Rate Risk Management at Trans City Holdings from 1985. He has extensive experience in derivative education for both Australian and offshore corporate and government entities. Brian has been featured in publications including Masters of the Market - Secrets of Australia's Leading Sharemarket Investors. Education[edit]He holds a Master of Commerce (Tax and Finance) UNSW, and has over 23 years of experience in the global financial markets including construction and execution of complex derivative transactions, option market making, construction of specialized tactical portfolio overlay strategies and the practical use of synthetic and derivative financial products.
