Brian Tishuk is an executive director at ChicagoFIRST.[1]In fact, he became the first executive director of ChicagoFIRST in February of 2004.[2] He is responsible for forging a relationship between financial institutions and government at all levels to promote information sharing about employee safety and business continuity issues within the financial industry.
Background[edit]
Prior to joining ChicagoFIRST, Tishuk had a career at the U.S. Treasury Department where he addressed a vast array of public policy issues affecting financial institutions, from the savings and loan crisis of the mid-1980s to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Following the attacks of Sept. 11, Tishuk led The Treasury's efforts to enhance the resiliency of financial institutions, establishing the Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Compliance Policy and serving as its acting director and deputy director. Tishuk initiated a Treasury outreach effort that facilitated cooperation among financial firms in Chicago and played a part in the formation of ChicagoFIRST.

Tishuk has an undergraduate degree from Lawrence University, a master's degree in public policy from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Georgetown University.
