Bruce Morris has been the chief executive officer of the market research firm TABB Group since February of 2018. He joined TABB Group from Progressive Business Media, where he was most recently VP, group publisher. Morris has held senior executive positions at a number of firms including Incisive Media, SourceMedia and Thomson Financial (now Thomson Reuters).[1] He is also director of the advisory board of SunStar Strategic, which he joined in August 2016.

Background[edit]

Morris began his career in 1979 working as an advertising sales representative with the New York-based publishing company Lebhar-Friedman.[2] He then joined Fairchild Publications, where he worked until 1992.

By 1999, Morris was the CEO of the investment marketing group division for the financial services firm Thomson Financial. He then served as CEO & president of publishing and conference groups for Thomson Media before becoming the president of the banking group division for SourceMedia FKA Thomson Media.

Morris continued to advance in the media world as he worked in more executive roles, including SVP general manager for JupiterMedia, chief operating officer for Louise Blouin Media, board director with iDcentrix, executive vice president/managing director with SourceMedia, vice president of member services and business development with Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), senior vice president/head of North America for Incisive Media, and VP Group publisher with Progressive Business Media from 2017 - 2018. Just before joining TABB Group, Morris served as Director of the Advisory Board for the public relations firm, SunStar Strategic.[3]

Morris earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Penn State University. He later attended Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, where he participated in the United Newspapers Executive Development Program. [4]
