Mead Welles is president and senior portfolio manager of Octagon Asset Management, LLC, a New York-based investment advisor specializing in structured finance. He co-founded Octagon in 1998. He is also the chairman and co-founder of the charity A Leg to Stand On (ALTSO), a charitable organization founded in 2002 that helps children with limb disabilities in developing countries by providing free corrective surgery and artificial limbs.
