Charlie Mak is president of international wealth at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, a joint wealth management venture between Morgan Stanley and Citigroup Inc.'s Smith Barney.[1] He was appointed in August 2011 and oversees businesses in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.[2][3] Background[edit]Mak is a member of Morgan Stanley's Asia Pacific executive committee and was formerly the head of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Asia. He has worked in finance for 36 years, beginning with several roles in accounting and legal at Morgan Stanley. Mak began working as an investment adviser in the individual investor services division at Morgan Stanley's New York office in 1986, moving to the Hong Kong office in 1989.[4][5] Education[edit]References[edit]
