D. Brooke Gottshall is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Phalanx Capital Management. He is responsible for the firm's middle and back office operations. [1]
Background[edit]
Gottshall is a senior finance and accounting professional with a derivatives trading background. He has held various positions in the front, middle and back offices of investment banking and trading organizations.
He began his career at O'Connor & Associates and has experience as an equity index options trader at the Chicago Board Options Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. He managed Bank One's Commodity and Equity Derivative Middle Offices before joining Citigroup in New York as a controller for their investment bank.
Prior to joining Phalanx, Gottshall was the hedge fund controller at a large fund administrator where he had accounting responsibilities.
He is a veteran of both the U.S. Air Force and Army National Guard. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Illinois.

Gottshall graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Finance from Pennsylvania State University. He went on to receive an MBA from Villanova University.
