Daniel A. Driscoll is special policy advisor at the National Futures Association.[1][2] Driscoll joined NFA at the time NFA began operations. In 2000, he was named executive vice president and chief compliance officer. [3] In January of 2003, Driscoll became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; and in January of 2020, he was named NFA's Special Policy Advisor. Before joining NFA, Driscoll worked for the CFTC for several years where he held a number of positions, culminating as deputy director in the CFTC's Division of Trading and Markets.

Driscoll is on the faculty of professors of the Regulatory Compliance Association.[4] He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Institute for Financial Markets.[5]

Background[edit]

Driscoll serves on the board of trustees of The IFM as their secretary and treasurer.[6] He has been a member of the trustees since 1989.

Driscoll was one of four executives at the NFA whose bonuses were cut by the NFA board after the fraud at the Peregrine Financial Group came to light in 2012.[7]

Mr. Driscoll holds a bachelor's degree in accounting with a second major in economics from Aquinas College.
