De'Ana Dow
De'Ana Dow is partner and general counsel of Capitol Counsel LLC in Washington, DC. She was previously a managing director, government relations for the CME Group, Inc.[1] Dow was responsible for serving as CME Group's liaison to Washington D.C. and advancing the company's legislative and regulatory agendas. Prviously, Dow was chief legislative counsel for NYMEX, named to the position on Jan. 28, 2007. She joined NYMEX in 2005 and works in its Washington, DC office.[2][3] Background[edit]Dow's legal career began at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) where in her 22 years at the CFTC she served as counsel to Chairman William Rainer, under the Clinton Administration, special adviser to Chairman James E. Newsome, under the Bush Administration.[4] She also served as legal counsel to CFTC Commissioner Barbara P. Holum.[5] After leaving the CFTC, she was hired as associate vice president and counsel in the market regulation department of the NASD, now FINRA, where she oversaw the futures regulatory program. She is a member of the Washington D.C.
