Deutsche Bank acquired London investment bank Morgan Grenfell in 1990 in a friendly deal that valued Morgan at $1.48 billion.[1] Deutsche Bank renamed the entity Deutsche Bank Morgan Grenfell, and it operated as a separate legal entity within the Deutsche Bank group. However, Deutsche Bank eventually dropped the name "Morgan Grenfell."
