Exegy is a global provider of solutions for data, trading signals, historical data and execution systems for the financial markets.
In May of 2021, Exegy merged with Vela, which now operates under the Exegy brand.[1]
History[edit]
Exegy was founded in 2003 to provide hardware based computing solutions. It commercialized hardware-accelerated computing technology developed at the School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis.
It used technology called field-programable gate array, or FPGA to develop ticker plants that normalized, enriched and filtered real-time data for use by financial market participants. The continued improvement of the technology let to Exegy to file for over 175 domestic and international patents.
