Gavin Maguire is a Singapore-based commodities and energies editor-in-charge for Thomson Reuters.[1] Before moving to Singapore, he was an agricultural markets reporter with Thomson Reuters.

Additionally, he was a director at EHedger before joining Thomson Reuters, where he oversaw their analysis of, and commentaries on, the agricultural futures and options markets. He also served as director of research at Iowa Grain Company, where he worked with agricultural producers, consumers and investors to formulate effective hedging and trading strategies.


Previously he was head of metals coverage, Americas, for Dow Jones Newswires, responsible for providing and coordinating in-depth analysis of trading activities, company performances, critiques of industry trends and off-market breaking news.

Before that, he was part of 10-person team responsible for real-time coverage of metals markets in London and New York for Bridge Information Systems.
