Hamdi Bağcı is CEO of the Turkish Derivatives Exchange, and a member of its board, a position held since the launch of the exchange in 2002.
Background[edit]
Bağcı previously headed the Accounting Standards Department at the Turkish Capital Markets Board, and was vice-president of the Turkish Accounting Standards Committee. He was chairman of the Association of Futures Markets from 2006 to 2007.
Education[edit]
Bağcı graduated from the Faculty of Political Science of Ankara University with a degree in Economics in 1985 and holds a masters degree in finance from Hacettepe University in Ankara. He completed a certificate program on Capital Markets at Maryland University and is studying for a Phd at Marmara University in Istanbul.
