Heidi M. Rauh
Heidi M. Rauh is a Chicago-based lawyer and compliance professional who currently serves as the general counsel and chief compliance officer at ICE Clear Credit. Previously, she was the general counsel and chief compliance officer for ICE Clear US, LLC. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the Center for International Law at the John Marshall Law School.[1] She serves on the Joint Audit Committee representing ICE Clear Credit.[2] Before joining ICE Clear U.S., she was special counsel - division of clearing and risk at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. She has also served as the general counsel of AlphaMetrix,[3] an alternative investment research and management company offering a combination of investment services on an integrated, computerized platform. Also previously, she was executive director and senior counsel with UBS Securities, LLC. Background[edit]Rauh's legal experience spans more than 16 years, focusing on the financial services industry. She has handled corporate, regulatory and transactional matters involving futures and securities regulation, registration and compliance, financial markets and clearing organizations (in connection with exchange-traded and over-the-counter derivatives), and alternative investment vehicles (both private and publicly offered investment funds and commodity pools). She joined UBS in September 2005 from the law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman, where she was special counsel in the firm's financial services practice group. Prior to that she served as associate general counsel and assistant secretary of the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation (1996-2001), and prior to that she was an associate attorney in the Futures and Derivatives group at the law firm of Sidley & Austin in Chicago (1991-1996). Education[edit]Rauh holds a BBA from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University School of Law. She maintains memberships with Illinois Bar; Futures Industry Association - Law & Compliance division, executive committee; Chicago Bar Association - Futures & Derivatives Committee; American Bar Association - Committee on Regulation of Futures and Derivative Instruments.
