Henry Schwartz is a trader, data professional and market analyst who is senior director, head of product intelligence at Cboe Global Markets.[1]

Schwartz was the founder and president of Trade Alert LLC, a real-time option flow analytics firm, which was bought by Cboe Global Markets in June 2020.[2][3][4]

Background[edit]

Henry Schwartz founded Trade Alert to address a growing need for specialized tools in the rapidly evolving derivatives space. His firm’s OptionAlert system is used by leading sell-side desks to monitor and analyze fragmented high-speed order flow in real time, facilitating informed trading decisions and intelligent communications with clients.[5]

Previously, Schwartz worked at Banc of America Securities where he was responsible for electronic market making on the start-up ISE. He also worked at Salomon Brothers where he helped secure first place among customer index desks while working closely with developers to create one of the first real-time integrated pricing and risk management systems on Wall Street.

He began his derivatives career with Blair Hull making markets in index products on the CBOE and AMEX floors and was selected to establish satellite offices in Frankfurt and Paris.

John Lothian News Interview[edit]

Schwartz spoke with JLN Options editor Sarah Rudolph about the OptionAlert analytics system, technology challenges for clients and firms, and fragmentation in the options markets. Published February 15, 2011.

Education[edit]

Schwartz received an economics degree from UCSD in 1989 and an MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School in 1996.

MarketsWiki Education[edit]

Schwartz participated in the MarketsWiki Education World of Opportunity series in New York at Nasdaq in July of 2017.
