The term "interbank market" refers to a loose network of foreign exchange ("FX") transactions negotiated between financial institutions and other large companies. The interbank, or "OTC" FX market consists of electronic brokered systems such as ICAP's EBS and Reuters Dealing 3000, as well as traditional voice brokers such as GFI Group.
