James F. Rothenberg is chairman and chief executive officer of Capital Research and Management Co.[1] a position he assumed in 1994. He also serves as a member of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation.[2]
Background[edit]
Rothenberg has worked within the Capital organization since 1970. A strong presence in Harvard alumni affairs, Rothenberg has served on the dean's advisory councils of both the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Harvard Business School, and on the executive committee of the Committee on University Resources. He also has served as university treasurer.
Education[edit]
Rothenberg received his undergraduate degree from Harvard in 1968 and an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1970. He is a chartered financial analyst.
