Jerome Kemp
Jerome Kemp is the president of Baton Systems. He joined the company in that role in September 2021.[1] Kemp was previously the managing director, global head of futures, clearing, and collateral at Citigroup, starting in January 2011.[2] He announced his retirement in June of 2020. At the time of his retirement, he stepped down as the chairman of the board of the FIA.[3] He served as acting chair of FIA Global, a position he took in July 2018 after Edward Pla stepped down as chairman. He was later elected as chairman at the FIA Boca conference. Before that, he served on the FIA board for seven years and was voted in as vice chairman in 2016.[4] In 2021, Kemp was inducted into the Futures Industry Association's Futures Hall of Fame, which was established in 2005 to commemorate outstanding contributions to the global futures and options community. [5] Background[edit]Kemp has more than 30 years experience in global derivatives markets in Paris, London and Tokyo. He joined Citi in 2011 after more than 18 years at JP Morgan, where he served as the global co-head of futures and options and OTC clearing. [6] Before that, he worked from 1988 to 1992 in fixed income sales at Oddo & Cie.
