John Authers
John Authers is a 20-year veteran journalist with the Financial Times who is a senior investment columnist. Formerly, he was the global head of the Lex column, a position he assumed in 2010.[1] He also writes the weekly Long View column on markets and investment for the FT. Previously, Authers was investment editor of the Financial Times, a position he assumed in 2006.[2] Background[edit]Authers joined FT in 1990 and served as U.S. markets editor, U.S. banking correspondent and Mexico City bureau chief. Prior to the FT, he did freelance work for London's Daily Telegraph and Guardian, and worked for Congressional Quarterly in Washington, D.C.
