K. Sree Kumar is acting chief executive officer of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad (BMD), a strategic partnership between Bursa Malaysia and CME Group.[1][2] In this role, he strategizes the business roadmap of the exchange and it related clearing house, for the development and internationalization of the Malaysian derivatives market.[3]

Background[edit]

Kumar has more than 30 years of experience in the derivatives and financial industry. He is also the Past President of the Malaysian Futures Brokers Association, where he contributed his knowledge and expertise towards the development of the Malaysian capital market prior to him joining Bursa Malaysia in 2001.[4]
