Kelvin Dushnisky
Kelvin Dushnisky is the president of the Toronto-based Barrick Gold Corp. Dushnisky joined Barrick in 2002, and advanced through a series of progressively senior positions, before being appointed president in 2015.[1] He oversaw Barrick’s mines in Australia, Africa, North and South America and the Middle East, working closely with governments and communities.[2] On July 23, 2018 Barrick announced that Dushnisky would step down from that role and become the head of the South African gold producer AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. at the end of August.[3] He will replace departing CEO Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan.[4] Background[edit]Before joining Barrick, Dushnisky was vice chairman, general counsel and a founding director of EuroZinc Mining Corporation, vice president of Sutton Resources Ltd. (acquired by Barrick) and vice president of Rescan Consultants Inc. He has served on the boards of directors for a number of publicly listed companies.[5] He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Shanghai Gold Exchange and the Accenture Global Mining Executive Council.
