Kenneth J. Heinz
Kenneth J. Heinz is the president at research firm Hedge Fund Research, Inc.[1]He maintains the designation of chartered financial analyst (CFA). Background[edit]In March of 2009, Heinz was quoted by the media as saying that after "years of steady growth, 2008 was a record year for hedge fund liquidations, reflecting in part the transitions occurring across many aspects of the overall financial industry, as well as the substantial performance dispersion between hedge funds.” Furthermore, he was quoted as saying that as the industry evolves to suit investor demand, trends in strategy preferences, service providers, disclosure and transparency are likely to shape the industry landscape for the foreseeable future.”[2] Prior to assuming the role of president, Heinz had been with HFR Asset Management since 2002, most recently as manager of the Investment Management division where he was responsible for strategic evaluation and due diligence of hedge funds for investment. Prior to joining HFRAM, he had over five years of experience as a trading member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the Chicago Board of Options Exchange (CBOE). Education[edit]He has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago with a concentration in finance, statistics and econometrics, as well as a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Illinois.
