Kerry Rooks Occupation Chief People Officer Employer HKEX Location Hong Kong Kerry Rooks joined HKEX as chief people officer effective January 10, 2022. She reports to HKEX chief executive Nicolas Aguzin. In that role, she is responsible for human resources across HKEX Group. She will also be a member of the group's management committee. Rooks succeeded Paul Choi, who left to pursue other career interests but will remain an advisor until March 31, 2022. Background Rooks was previously the chief human resources officer at Prudential in Hong Kong, a role she began in 2008. Earlier, she worked in various HR roles for New York Life International - Asia, based out of Hong Kong; AIG in both New York and Hong Kong; and Prudential Life Insurance in Tokyo.
