Mark Gonzalez is head of OTC clearing sales at Newedge. He joined the company in that role in March 2014, reporting to Adam Cohen, head of institutional clearing sales Americas, Prime Clearing Services.

He was previously global chief operating officer (COO) and head of sales at BNY Mellon Clearing, providing services in the listed and OTC derivatives market to institutional clients. He has more than 16 years’ experience in senior operational and marketing roles with global clearing and trading organizations.[1]

Background[edit]

Prior to BNY Mellon, Gonzalez served as an advisor to Ardmore Park Capital, and was a founding partner and the COO for Capstone Holdings Group, LLC, where he managed day-to-day operations of an affiliate derivatives trading group, monitored regulatory and compliance activity, and oversaw the firm in the absence of the CEO. He also helped grow the company into three different entities with over 50 employees in three years.[2]

Before joining Capstone, Gonzalez worked at Pioneer Futures where he was responsible for the daily back office and technical operations. He oversaw the building of a replacement service bureau system for a NYMEX commodities futures clearing firm and spearheaded a project for a day trading broker dealer to self-clearing status.
