MarketsWiki is an online open-content collaborative compilation of news and information, that is, a voluntary association of individuals and groups working to develop a common resource of human knowledge. The structure of the project allows any paid subscriber to the John Lothian Newsletter who is a registered user under their own name to alter its content. Please be advised that nothing found here has necessarily been reviewed by people with the expertise required to provide you with complete, accurate or reliable information.

That is not to say that you will not find valuable and accurate information in MarketsWiki; much of the time you will. However, MarketsWiki cannot guarantee the validity of the information found here. The content of any given article may recently have been created, changed, vandalized or altered by someone whose opinion does not correspond with the state of knowledge for the topic.

No formal peer review[edit]

Our staff and active community of contributors uses tools such as the Special:Recentchanges and Special:Newpages feeds to monitor new and changing content. However, MarketsWiki is not uniformly peer reviewed; while readers may correct errors or engage in casual peer review, they have no legal duty to do so and thus all information read here is without any implied warranty of fitness for any purpose or use whatsoever. Even articles that have been vetted by review processes may later have been edited inappropriately, just before you view them.

None of the contributors, sponsors, administrators, or anyone else connected with MarketsWiki in any way whatsoever can be responsible for the appearance of any inaccurate or libelous information, or for your use of the information contained in or linked from these web pages. Nothing on should be considered an endorsement by any sponsor of any web site content.

Disclosure: Use of ChatGPT in Content Creation[edit]

At John Lothian News, we are committed to delivering accurate, insightful, and engaging content to our readers. In pursuit of this goal, we use advanced language AI technology, such as ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, as a tool in our writing and editing processes. ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence model trained on a diverse range of internet text, including news articles, literature, and other sources. It assists our team by generating ideas, suggesting improvements, and aiding in the drafting and refinement of articles, headlines, and other content.

While ChatGPT contributes to our content creation process, it is important to note that human editors ultimately review, edit, and approve all content before publication. We prioritize journalistic integrity, fact-checking, and adherence to our editorial standards in all our articles.

It is also crucial to recognize that while ChatGPT can provide valuable assistance, it is not infallible and may occasionally generate errors or inaccuracies. Therefore, our editorial team exercises critical judgment and discretion in evaluating and refining the content produced with the assistance of AI technology.

We believe that the responsible use of AI technology enhances our ability to deliver high-quality journalism and serve our audience better. Transparency and accountability are central to our practices, and we are committed to providing clear disclosures regarding the use of AI in our content creation process.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the use of ChatGPT or our editorial practices, please do not hesitate to contact us.
