Mary Chung is managing director at Lansons Intermarket, which she joined in September 2019. She is a corporate communications and marketing specialist who is the founder and managing partner of Smash Street Media, an integrated communications and public relations consultancy specializing in media placements, PR campaigns, corporate positioning and content creation for financial services and technology companies. She has nearly two decades of experience in communications, media and marketing.

She is former head of corporate communications and marketing at Broadway Technology, where she worked from September 2011 until April 2014.

Before joining Broadway Technologies, Chung served as head of corporate communications at ELX Futures, L.P. where she worked on the exchange's communications and media relations effort.

Prior to joining ELX, she worked as senior vice president of corporate communications and marketing for the American Stock Exchange. Before that, Chung was a reporter for the Financial Times and has worked at several other news organizations including Bridge News, Reuters and CBS Television early in her career. Chung's news stories have been published in various publications including the Financial Times, Chicago Tribune, Ottawa Citizen and Toronto Sun newspapers.

She has also appeared as a guest speaker in several television news programs, including ABC News, Nightly Business Report as well as serving as an anchor on Amex Television.[1]

Prior to working in the field of journalism, Chung spent three years teaching English in Japan.

She received a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from Carleton University and earned a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University.[2]
